Offtopic: U2. Vancouver. 'Nuff said.

I would like to announce to the world that I have just acquired two GENERAL ADMISSION FIELD tickets to the U2 360 tour stop in Vancouver, British Columbia on October 28, 2009. (I know you don't care, but hey, it's my blog and I'll cry happily if I want to. :) )

I have dear, dear friends (Adam & Laura!) and relatives (Val & Julie - hope you're still going!) attending the first show of the US leg of the tour in Chicago; fittingly, the stop in Vancouver - the closest one to Seattle - is the last show of the same leg of the tour. As much as I'll miss seeing them in my hometown, the poetry of this bookend makes me very happy indeed.

Also, this will mark the 4th city (after Chicago, New York, and South Bend, Indiana) that I will have seen my boys play in. Even more fun, it marks the 2nd country I'll have seen them play in. This also makes me very happy. If only they were coming to Mexico before we leave....

AWESOME!! I hear that Vancouver is amazing! Make sure you leave time to check out the city while you're there!

Ha! Thanks Erica. I expected this to be one of those posts with 0 comments. I told Chris: "I just put up a post that no one will care about." 5 seconds later she says: "Well, someone just commented on the post you said no one will care about..." Shocker! :) I don't know if we'll have time to check out Vancouver on that trip (it's a weekday!) but we'll definitely do it at some point. Vancouver's only 2.5 hours away, though, so y'all oughta come out and we'll all go see it before going to Forks!

Yeah...Was just reading that the public sale sold out in like a minute...without you it would have been impossible to share this experience as well! Thanks again for letting me spend money in your name!!! :-) It is very poetic that we will bookend the NA tour. Just hope they don't need a second show in Vancouver! :-) Miss you both!
